The Quickest, Easiest Way to Install WordPress

There’s a few different ways of getting WordPress installed on your domain. Installing manually, for example, can take a lot longer than necessary, up to an hour. The method I’m going to show you takes less than 5 minutes, and after you get the hang of it, you can pretty much do it in your sleep.

For this exercise, I’m going to be using HostGator. You can use any host that uses cPanel with a QuickInstall-type feature. Any of HostGator’s shared or VPS accounts that have cPanel will have this QuickInstall feature, enabling you to use the method I’m about to show you.

Once you have a host, make sure your domain name is connected to the account. If you purchased your domain name elsewhere, change the nameservers before you install WordPress.

Navigate your way to QuickInstall.

Find and choose WordPress on the left sidebar.

Enter in your website’s information.

Click Install.

Once the progress bar is finished, visit www.[yourdomain].com/wp-admin. This is how you will log in every time to any WordPress site. Enter in the user name you created. Check your e-mail for the password WordPress gave you and enter it as well. You should now be logged in to your WordPress backend. Congratulations on a successful WordPress install! Let us know how long it took you to install it below in the comments!
